Rewires in Leamington Spa and Warwickshire
1010 Electrical carry out full house rewires across Leamington Spa, Warwick, Kenilworth, Southam and the surrounding Warwickshire villages. A rewire replaces the cabling, back boxes, accessories and consumer unit throughout the property so the whole installation meets the current edition of BS 7671, and it finishes with an Electrical Installation Certificate and Building Regulations Part P notification.
What rewires involves
Most homes need a rewire when the existing wiring is rubber or lead sheathed, when there are not enough sockets to live comfortably, or when an EICR has returned C1 or C2 codes across several circuits. If your property still has a fuse board with rewireable fuses, or sockets set into skirting boards, the installation is very likely to predate modern earthing and RCD protection.
We start with a survey and a written scope. You will know exactly how many sockets, switches, light points and dedicated circuits are included, where they will sit, and what the property will look like at first fix and at second fix. Nothing is opened up until you have agreed the plan and the price. That single step removes almost every dispute we have ever seen on a rewire.
On site we lift floors carefully, chase walls neatly, protect floors with membrane boards, and clear up at the end of every day. A typical three bedroom house takes five to eight working days depending on access and whether the property is occupied. We stage the work so you keep power and lighting in at least part of the house throughout.
Patching and plastering are not part of a rewire as standard. We can organise a plasterer for you if you want one point of contact, and the quote states clearly where our work finishes so there is no assumption either way.
On completion you receive an Electrical Installation Certificate, a full schedule of test results, a labelled consumer unit, and your Part P compliance certificate through NAPIT. That paperwork is what a solicitor, a mortgage lender or a future buyer will ask for, so we make sure it is issued properly rather than promised later.

Rewires, questions we are asked most
A typical three bedroom house takes five to eight working days. Larger properties, listed buildings and occupied homes take longer because we work room by room to keep power on. We give you a day by day plan before we start.
Usually not. We stage the work so that at least part of the property keeps lighting and power at the end of each day. Kitchens and bathrooms are planned around your routine wherever possible.
Patching and plastering are not included as standard. We chase walls neatly and leave the property clean, and we can organise a plasterer for you if you would prefer a single point of contact. Whatever is agreed is written into the quote, so you know exactly where our work stops and the decorating begins.
Yes. A rewire is notifiable work under Part P. As a NAPIT registered firm we self certify and notify your local authority, and your certificate is issued directly to you.

Straight with us and booked in within a week
We had our bathroom renovated by Wickes recently, and their installers needed the electrics signed off as compliant before they could finish the job. We had already had the electrics checked before moving in last September, specifically because we had been burned by a previous house and wanted it done properly. So we assumed it would be fine. Turns out the fuse box was not up to current standards. Ben and his team were straight with us about it and they did not mess us about. Instead of pushing our bathroom work back by weeks, they got us booked in within a week and had the whole thing sorted in half a day. They know what they are doing and they are not going to cut corners or take you for a ride. I will use them again without hesitation.
Fantastic, for both domestic and commercial
I cannot recommend 1010 Electrical highly enough. Ben was absolutely brilliant, a can do attitude, great communication, a lovely tidy job, great price. For both domestic and commercial jobs, this company is excellent.
Highly recommended for our cafe
I have had several dealings with this business over the last six months hoping to get my small cafe up to standard and in response to several issues. Nothing but professional at all times, incredibly proactive and confident enough to offer suggestions and alternatives where appropriate. Good communication and a good quality of service provided. I would highly recommend using Ben for any electrical needs at home or at your place of work.
